Shows and Atmosphere

The Aerial Angels perform both set shows and walk-around entertainment. For Festivals and outdoor events, we are a unique combination of featured stage act and atmosphere. Our mix of stage shows, lane interaction, and a company musician playing additional sets between aerial shows increases audience impact within your entertainment budget. While primarily a family show, the Angels also incorporate tasteful "grown-up jokes"; an adult show with edgier costuming and contemporary music is also available.

Skills and Equipment

  • Lyra (Aerial Hoop) Using the steel ring and the cotton foot loop, the aerialist can hang, dive and balance while suspended in mid-air.
  • Tissú (Aerial Silk) As seen in Cirque du Soleil, performers wrap, twist and contort in fabric.
  • Trapeze. Solo, double, and triple routines on the non-swinging trapeze.
  • Acrobatics. Contortion, solo acrobatics, and partner balancing in high-flying combinations.
  • Bullwhip. Crack shot target taking with deadly accuracy.
  • Fire-eating. Comedy and fire manipulation featuring the Nipple Transfer.
  • Diabolo. The Chinese gyroscopic juggling toy.
  • Comedy and Interaction. Bits such as Drumming and Dancing, Bubbles, Fishing for Kids, and Dog Bowl Orchestra Parade captivate audience participants.

      Rigging and Stages

Our freestanding tripod rig can be set on an existing stage or in a performance area. The flexible-height rig (16'-24') requires a minimum 16-foot clearance, and can be dropped between shows if the stage is shared. At outdoor events and Renaissance Festivals, we rig additional equipment in trees, both on-the-spot and with advance set-up. Short lane shows - with our live musician playing original music - incorporate aerial skills, fire-eating, bullwhip, and acrobatics, and add to the “magical” atmosphere of the festival by providing spontaneous entertainment. Depending on tree availability, we also rig ropes courses and specialty equipment.
