Aerial Rig
 | | PLEASE NOTE: Next available rig deliveries will be in July 2012. We personally supervise rig construction and shipping, and we're on tour the rest of the summer. Orders received by June 10th will ship in July.
For experienced aerialists, own your own portable aerial rig! - Our freestanding tripod is self-leveling and sets up easily in 10 minutes. - Available in bare metal, or powder-coated your choice of colors for an additional $350. - Please allow SIX WEEKS MINIMUM to complete your rig sale and receive your rig, though rental rigs are available if you are in need! - Rig price varies up to 10% based on price of aluminum at time of order; shipping may increase based on your location - estimate is for continental US.
PLEASE NOTE: This is for EXPERIENCED AERIALISTS ONLY. This is a PORTABLE rig - it is designed to travel easily (as checked baggage, or on your roof rack) and set up and take down FAST (less than 10 minutes up and down). It is also designed to flex for shock loads - that is, when you do a drop, the entire rig flexes and rebounds. This may be unsettling for beginners, and you should be an experienced aerialist who is comfortable doing your own rigging and checking your own safety.
Drawbacks - - the tripod gets smaller towards the top. People with long legs will find wrapping for horizontal start positions awkward. - the rig flexes to absorb shock. This will scare the crap out of you the first few times. - you can ONLY do some swinging skills if the rig is anchored on the corners. We use other performers to hold down the legs for swinging.
Advantages - - fast set-up and tear down - travels as checked baggage - easy to put in your own backyard
Height - 24 feet, with a working rigging point at 22.5 feet. We recommend a 25 foot or higher overhead clearance. The rig can also be set at 18 and 14 feet by removing leg sections.
Base - the base of the rig is a triangle 22 feet per side.
Weight - Breaks down into component parts to fit airline size/weight guidelines for Delta - this is not a guarantee, always check before you fly! Total weight is 215lbs, plus about 7 pounds of assembly hardware.
