Background: BA in Theatre, MFA in Playwriting. Allison formed Aerial Angels in 2003 with Beth Browning and Sarah Scanlon. As Artistic Director she has led Angels tours through Eastern Europe, Canada, the UK & Ireland, and Mexico & Belize. Directing and coaching includes work Off-Broadway (Orson) and for National Public Radio ("Dead Men Don't Jaywalk", "Dead Men Don't Carry Handbags", "Scanners"), Kentucky Shakespeare Festival (Pantalone Rides Again, The Taming of Pantalone, MacPant), Kalamazoo College (A Servant to Two Masters), Western Michigan University (Sand, Seven Wonders, The Tale of Tsuru), Rollins College (A Midsummer Night's Dream), Pied Piper Players (Children of a Lesser God) and Harrison Arts Center (Hamlet, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Scapino, 37 Views). She is the author of Hamlette, Mmmbeth, Drop Dead, Juliet! and The Scarlet Heart, all published through Theatrefolk. With Aerial Angels, Allison created and co-directed Fallen, stories of women in the Old Testament told through aerial theatre for the University of Alaska-Anchorage. Allison also wrote and performed a Canadian national tour of her award-winning solo show, True Story, which includes fire-eating and aerial silk and hoop as spiritual pursuits.
