Workshops/Training

If you're interested in circus and aerial training, Aerial Angels teaches both beginner and advanced workshops on an ongoing basis across North America. We can also refer you to circus training in your area. Please note - we do not right now offer training in a fixed location; we do workshops when hired to do so by local gyms or studios. If you are hoping we will come to your area and you have a studio in mind, let us know!

For more information on our workshops or a referral to a training facility near you, please check our links page to see if there is a school listed or email us.

For renaissance festivals and theme parks... In 2005, the Aerial Angels implemented a special partnership with the Bay Area Renaissance Festival, training an ensemble of talented local actors to perform aerial and circus skills throughout the festival, including lane work and twice-daily shows. This and similar training builds on our philosophy of passing on to future generations the skills that were so generously shared with us by our coaches and fellow performers, as well as providing the festival with a group of highly-skilled local performers who may go on to create their own shows as they mature as entertainers. The festival also immediately benefits by increasing the impact of circus performers through greater numbers, which heightens the "lane excitement" factor and the atmosphere of the festival.

Please inquire if you are interested in special training for cast members, or if you are interested in bringing in additional professional Angels for more lane work. We also teach workshops in Mask Characterization, which helps build the visual impact of village characters, and Contact Improv, Stage Combat, Friendly Shakespeare, Yoga for Actors, and Circus Skills.

Workshops and master classes are also available for colleges, theatres, and schools. Through our sister company, Commedia Zuppa, we do guest artist residencies in Mask, Physical Theatre, and Commedia Dell'Arte as well as all of the above listed workshops. Please contact us for a brochure about Commedia Zuppa's work. Recent workshop and training clients include:
